"What Rec Life Has Done for Us..."
“My son is blind and has a severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). He also suffers from a rare and severe form of Tourette’s syndrome. Over the course of the few years that Rec Life has been involved, they have gone above and beyond to provide various techniques, activities, and equipment to help him manage anxiety and address physical and emotional challenges. Deanna has gotten him involved in music therapy, rhythm and meditation classes, provided balls with bells and whistles to help him navigate, and encouraged participation in physical activities. She is always coming up with creative ways to support his mobility, anxiety, and self-esteem. I cannot thank her enough for all she has done to help my son, as well as myself, in caring for him.”
“Deanna was extremely helpful in providing resources our son could take advantage of that aligned with his interests. Deanna introduced us to the Jacob’s Chance program, as well as provided visual aides for our son’s group home and day program staff. Thanks to Deanna, our son participates in an online karaoke class plus just wrapped up performing for the third time in the Jacob’s Chance “Night to Shine” annual talent show.”
